With a fair amount of planning, and a little luck, Christmas can bring families together. This festive season my family’s joyfully reunited for the first time in nine years.
In this near-decade that has passed, we’ve delighted in the birth of two little ones, felt the sorrow of loosing our patriarch, and warmly welcomed a new life partner into our herd. Life changes, life gets stronger, and living is readily available to us to make the most of.
There’s no expression truer of life’s vitality and love than that found in veganism. Three meals a day, I consciously decide to celebrate life, by not including death and suffering on my plate. I see this as my greatest gift received in 2012, the gift of seeing the invisible, and then choosing to follow life’s gift.
My compassion goes to those who don’t have the gift of being able to choose the simple act of living, our fellow animals. My gratitude goes to those who have opened my eyes and to those who offer their support, I thank you.
Here’s wishing you all a happy, healthy and compassionate festive season.
